Description
Meet your guide and begin a 2 to 3-hour walking tour covering five carefully selected street food stops in Condesa. Group sizes are limited to 10 guests to keep the experience personal.
The tour opens with tacos al pastor, shaved fresh from the trompo, with an option to try a Gringa—pastor with melted cheese on a flour tortilla. Next, visit a local tortillería to witness how tortillas are made, the essential base for all your tastings.
Afterward, taste tacos de canasta, a staple of everyday Mexico City life known for their soft, simple flavors. Continue with Sonoran-style barbacoa, a slow-cooked beef presenting a distinct regional style. Then try picaña, a richly flavored cut carefully prepared.
The tour concludes with seafood tacos inspired by Sinaloa and Yucatán, offering fresh, bright flavors paired with mezcal. The route carefully transitions from rich to light flavors and from casual street food to refined drinks.
Depending on the day, you may also sample vegetarian sopecitos filled with chorizo-spiced mushrooms or suadero, slow-cooked beef simmered in its own fat, a Mexico City specialty rarely done well outside the city.
Throughout the tour, food serves as a window into Mexico City's history, immigration waves, and street culture, providing context that enriches every bite without overwhelming you with lengthy lectures.
