The Art of Creating with Your Hands This experience is designed to engage you in every heartbeat of the process, transforming 100% natural materials into your personal instrument of power. In an exclusive group of a maximum of people, we will experience the magic of craftsmanship and the power of creation: The Frame as a Canvas: We will start by working on a 40-cm wooden frame. You will be responsible for smoothing it by sanding it, and to make it 100% yours, you will be able to paint the frame with the design or color that your intuition dictates. Finally, we will apply lacquer to protect the wood and ensure its durability. Leather and Its Alchemy: As the 100% natural cowhide is moisturized, you will embark on the most profound process of personalization. You will be able to dye the leather in unique colors, choosing shades that resonate with your essence. The Weaving of Intention: Once the leather is prepared, we will use riveting tools to create the attachment points and begin hand-weaving. You will learn the technique of tensioning, interweaving threads in the colors of your choice and infusing each knot with purpose. Until the drum makes its first sound. No previous experience required: All you need to bring is your curiosity and your desire to create.

Drum-Making Workshop: Access to the full experience, lasting approximately 5 hours and led by professionals. 40-cm (15.7-in) 100% natural wood frame: A handcrafted circular base ready to be sanded and personalized. 100% natural cowhide: high-quality material, pre-selected and soaked for a rich sound. Use of professional tools: Riveting tools, sandpaper, and specialized equipment for cutting and punching the hide. Personalization materials: Paints for the frame, dyes for the head, and a variety of colored threads. Handcrafted drumstick: A percussion instrument is included so you can play your drum at the end of the workshop. Protective finish: Special lacquer to seal and protect the wood and the design of your drum. Cultural connection: A mystical introduction to the Otomi roots and the symbolism of the instrument. Your finished drum: You take home your own 16-inch work of art, ready to play. Includes coffee or tea.

Food and drink: Available for purchase onsite. Once you finish your drum, your journey doesn't have to end there. We invite you to enjoy an authentically home-cooked meal, prepared with love by the local community. It's authentic, rich, and traditional cuisine, perfect for sharing the joy of your creation at a table surrounded by forest. (Available for an additional cost directly on site.) Important Information

• Personal Preparation: Jilotzingo is in the forest. Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty (we will be sanding and painting), closed-toe shoes, and a jacket or sweater, as the weather can get chilly.
