Description

Travel from Mexico City into the layers of Mexican history on a 6-hour experience combining ancient archaeology, colonial heritage, traditional craftsmanship and Mexican drinks. Begin with a panoramic visit to Plaza de las Tres Culturas, where pre-Hispanic remains, the Temple of Santiago Apóstol and modern architecture share the same setting. Continue to Teotihuacan, where entrance is included and an expert guide leads you through this major pre-Hispanic urban center. Walk along the Avenue of the Dead and see the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and the Temple of Quetzalpapálotl. Then discover a local artisan workshop and its piñata-making tradition before enjoying a tasting of tequila, pulque and mezcal. In Acolman, you can explore the Monastery on your own or join the panoramic tour. An optional lunch is available depending on the selected option. The combination of Teotihuacan, Acolman’s colonial charm, traditional craftsmanship and a typical drinks tasting creates a varied way to experience Mexico beyond the capital.
