IX CAT IK Tradicional Cocina Maya is a restaurant where you can enjoy native dishes from the Maya-Yucatecan region. We cook with techniques and recipes inherited from our ancestors, we use fresh ingredients bought in the local market -in support of our local farmers- and we harvest some plants in our own organic garden. We also have a complementary guided tour (subject to availability with your waiter) to learn about the elaboration of our main ingredients used in our kitchen for the preparation of our dishes. You can also learn about the elaboration of our handmade chocolate.

At IX CAT IK Traditional Mayan Cuisine Restaurant you can enjoy handmade dishes prepared by traditional cooks. Delight your senses with a mixture of flavors and seasoning native to the region, we cook several dishes in the Píib or Píibil (an ancestral cooking technique that consists of burying the food in an oven under the ground), other dishes are cooked over firewood; all this allows to have unique flavors and aromas.
