The tour continues through the places where the first three apparitions of the Virgin of Guadalupe occurred, walking through the same spaces that marked the beginning of one of the most important religious traditions in America. We'll visit the Chapel of Pocito, a symbol of the miraculous origin of water; the Old Parish of the Indians, the first temple dedicated to indigenous evangelization; the Chapel of Cerrito, from where you can see the whole of Tepeyac; and the gardens of Tepeyac, which offer a moment of calm and reflection in the midst of this spiritual environment. Later, we'll head into the New Basilica to admire the original image of the Virgin of Guadalupe, followed by a visit to the Old Basilica, a witness to the passage of time and the devotion of entire generations. Later, we'll make a brief visit to the house of Fray Juan de Zumárraga, the first bishop of Mexico, where the last apparition of the Virgin of Guadalupe occurred and where one of the most significant episodes in the country's religious history was consolidated. The experience continues in the Historic Center of Mexico City with a guided tour of the Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Latin America. Here, you'll learn about its history, monumental architecture, and the symbols that reflect the encounter between two worlds, ending the tour with a deeper understanding of colonial and spiritual Mexico.
