Description

The day begins with collection from your hotel or the meeting point at Revolution Monument. You'll then drive to Tlaxcala center where you will take a tour, visiting the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption which is considered one of the oldest and most beautiful cathedrals around. Take a panoramic tour visiting Casa del Ayuntamiento, Portals, Government Palace before descending to the Basilica of Our Lady of Ocotlan where legend has it the Virgin of Ocotlan's appeared to Juan Diego Bernardino to provide miraculous water which would cure the sick and eliminate the epidemic of this place. (If there is a chance you will enter the Basilica, subject to availability). You'll also enjoy some free time to buy crafts and food. The next stop is Nanacamilpa. By night you will venture on a walk for 2 hours to the magical forest of Nanacamilpa where each year an incredible natural phenomenon occurs in which thousands of fireflies put on a dazzling a light show. After seeing this natural phenomenon you will be dropped back at your hotel or the meeting point.
