Then we'll use the magnificent Casa de los Azulejos, the impressive main post office, and Plaza Manuel Tolsá to talk about social contrasts, social advancement, and colonial power structures that later led to the struggle for independence. Then we'll reach the city parliament – a building from the era of President Porfirio Díaz, whose authoritarian modernization policy was one of the triggers of the Mexican Revolution.
