Dive into the rich world of Mexican spirits with our Mezcal & Pulque tasting experience, set in the gourmet market of San Juan in the historic center of Mexico City. This unique experience will enlighten your taste buds and expand your knowledge about these traditional drinks. Our journey begins with a quick tour of the exotic San Juan Market, where you'll see a variety of local produce and goods. At my stall, you'll learn about the production processes of mezcal and pulque, discovering how mezcal achieves its unique smoky aroma and the cultural significance of pulque. You'll sample 10 different mezcal shots, including those made from agave espadin (Mezcal Minero, de Gusano, de Pechuga), as well as wild and rare artisanal and ancestral mezcales from various regions of Mexico. We’ll also taste pulque, a traditional fermented drink with a rich history. Learn the differences between mezcal and tequila, and hear fascinating stories about the creation of agave and its magical attributes. While no food is provided during the tasting, we recommend eating before the experience. Alternatively, you can purchase food at the market to enjoy alongside your drinks.
