Description
We will take you to discover the true essence of Chapultepec Forest, starting with a half-hour visit to the Museum of Modern Art, where we will visit one of the galleries. We will continue on to Chapultepec Castle, where we will spend 45 to 60 minutes.
We will resume the tour and head to the Audiorama. During pre-Hispanic times, this corner was home to the spectacular Cincalco cave (cave of the place of corn), which led to Mictlán, considered by the Mexicas to be a portal between the world of the living and the dead. They also believed that Tláloc, the god of water, lived on this hill. According to indigenous sources, Huémac, the last Toltec ruler, took his own life in the cave in 1162, after suffering firsthand the decline and ruin of the Toltec people. It is considered an element that 'protects and fills visitors with energy.'
Our next stop is Los Pinos, where former presidents of Mexico lived, which opened to the public in 2018 and became the Los Pinos Cultural Complex. Inside Los Pinos, we will take a short break at one of the best cafes in the city, Café Passmar, a hidden treasure in Chapultepec.
We will continue to the second section of Chapultepec Forest, where we will visit the Cárcamo de Dolores Museum.
After this stop, we will return to our hotel.
