Description

You will be met by a local guide at the Museum of Anthropology, where you will tour the most complete collection of pre-Hispanic Mesoamerican art. Explore the most outstanding rooms and learn about famous pieces such as 'La Piedra del Sol' (The Sun Stone), the mask of King Pakal, and Coatlicue. Then, you will take the Metrobus to our next destination. You will pass through Alameda Park, the oldest urban park in America, and enjoy a panoramic view of iconic buildings such as the Palace of Fine Arts, the Postal Palace, the Iturbide Palace, and the House of Tiles. Francisco I. Madero Street will surprise you with its pedestrian atmosphere. If you choose the combo option with Teotihuacan, the next stop will be the Templo Mayor, where you can see the archaeological remains of this ancient Mexica temple, a key site in the history of pre-Hispanic and colonial Mexico. You will also visit the majestic Metropolitan Cathedral and tour the most significant sites of the Templo Mayor, accompanied by our expert tour guide. In addition, you will see the stained glass windows of history in the streets near the site. Once the guided part of the Teotihuacan tour is over, visit a local obsidian workshop to learn about this ancient art, enjoy a tequila tasting, and take home a special souvenir if you wish. Don't miss this unique experience that will allow you to learn more about Mexican culture and tradition and understand how different ethnic groups coexist today, both in Mexico City and throughout the country.
