Playa Delfines is an ideal place for travelers on a tight budget, especially since the basic facilities are totally free: parking, entrance, beach palm trees, and even a free visitor area, where you can rest under one of the many free umbrellas.
If you are going as a family, this place is professionally guarded by well-trained lifeguards, their presence is only during the day. It is also important to remember that the waves are relatively high, although if young children remain on the beach, this should not be a cause for alarm.
Getting to Playa Delfines is very simple since there are several options, either by taxi or by public transport on Route 27, Route 1, and Route 2 that circulate through the hotel zone, taking into account a stop at this beach. It is located 17 kilometers from downtown Cancun.
Due to the swell, this incredible beach is advisable not to do water sports because it requires a lot of skill. You can see the local people surfing, but for this very reason, there are not many places to rent boards in the area.
In the months between May and September, turtles spawn are observed on the beach, at night you can participate to take them out to sea, with natural respect and prohibition of entering the water in season.
