Paa Mul
Paa Mul, conveniently located 10 minutes south of Playa del Carmen and before Puerto Aventuras keeps its Mayan name which means 'hill or ruin destroyed'.Recreative beach
Paa Mul is excellent for campers with RV amenities, is very close to the reef, and an ideal spot for snorkeling. Camping is allowed, so bring your tent and portable BBQ for an unforgettable time on the beach watching the sunsets and sunrises!
There is plenty of space but it can get very busy during winter (especially with Americans that come down to the Riviera to avoid winter in the north!) but in the summer you can have it almost all for yourself and few locals.
Paa Mul is approximately an hour drive from Cancun airport and just 15 minutes south of Playa del Carmen (18Km / 11 miles). Buses are inexpensive and you can take one from the center of Playa or Cancun airport. It is also a very easy drive, just a straight line so don’t worry you can’t get lost! Hiring a car is quite affordable in Mexico, make sure you consider this option.
