Description

This is the perfect plan if you want to go beyond the tourist tours like Zocalo, the pyramids, or Coyoacan. We will meet in the green zone, in front of the Hotel Holiday Inn Express Reforma. There, we will scan our bikes and roll around the Angel of Independence. It is the perfect spot for pictures and offers a great view of the modern development of the city. We will ride around 15-20 min to Chapultepec Forest, famous for its beautiful ecosystem and museums. When we get there, we will walk around the lake and the old trees, which were used by the old Tlatuanis (kings of Mexico-Tenochtitlan) in the past. Right there, we will talk about the roots of Mexico´s pre-Hispanic civilization. At the end, we will get to Museo Nacional de Historia, also known as Castillo de Chapultepec, and we will discover a mix of murals, the rooms of the French president Maximiliano, and a 360-degree view of the city. Please notice that you would have to download the 'Eco-Bici app' in advance and purchase a 3 or 7-day access, which costs around 3-7 USD. This can be done with your debit or credit card, giving you access to public bikes before and after the tour, just like locals do. (Bikes are not electric.)
