Description

This tour is an invitation to enjoy a profound experience in the spiritual heart of Mexico, a journey that connects the faith, history, and identity of a people. We begin at the Basilica of Guadalupe, one of the most important Marian shrines in the world, a meeting place for millions of pilgrims who, for nearly five centuries, have come here driven by hope and devotion. During your visit, you will receive an explanation of the Guadalupano Code, a symbolic interpretation that helps you understand the spiritual, cultural, and human message conveyed by the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. You will also have a special moment to receive the blessing, in an atmosphere of contemplation and respect, connecting with the profound meaning of Tepeyac as a sacred site. The tour then continues to the sites where the first three apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe took place, walking through the very places that marked the beginning of one of the most important religious traditions in the Americas. We will visit the Chapel of El Pocito, a symbol of the miraculous origin of the water; the Old Indigenous Parish, the first church dedicated to the evangelization of indigenous peoples; the Chapel of El Cerrito, from which the entire Tepeyac can be seen; and the Tepeyac Gardens, which offer a moment of calm and reflection in the midst of this spiritual setting. Next, we will enter the New Basilica to behold the original image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, followed by a visit to the Old Basilica, a witness to the passage of time and the devotion of entire generations. Later, we will make a brief visit to the house of Fray Juan de Zumárraga, Mexico's first bishop, the site of the final apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe and where one of the most significant episodes in the country's religious history took place. The experience continues in the Historic Center of Mexico City with a guided tour of the Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Latin America. Here, you will learn about its history, its monumental architecture, and the symbols that reflect the encounter between two worlds, concluding the tour with a deeper understanding of colonial and spiritual Mexico. The tour includes pick-up from your hotel in Mexico City, allowing you to enjoy this experience in comfort and peace of mind, on an itinerary carefully designed for those who want to do more than just visit places, but to feel, understand, and connect with the spiritual and historical essence of Mexico. The Cathedral closes at 5:00 PM, and it is recommended to take the tour before 3:00 PM.
