- The use of flashlights, cell phones, cameras with flash, or any light, sound-emitting device is prohibited during the firefly sighting
- Umbrellas and parasols are not allowed; bring a plastic raincoat instead
- Mosquito repellents are prohibited to preserve the fireflies
