Description

This tour begins with an explanation of the Guadalupano Code, revealing the cultural and historical significance of Our Lady of Guadalupe’s apparitions. Outside the basilica, participants can receive a priest’s blessing to start the tour with intention.

Next, you will enter the New Basilica to view the original tilma of Juan Diego displayed on the main altar. The visit includes the Old Basilica, a notable architectural site reflecting the history of this sacred area.

The route continues with a stroll through the Tepeyac gardens, ascending to the Capilla del Cerrito, marking the third apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The descent follows through fountains and gardens to the Capilla del Pósito, commemorating the second apparition.

The tour concludes at the Old Chapel of the Indians, associated with the first apparition to Juan Diego. After the guided portion, you will receive tickets for the Museo Guadalupano to explore independently.

Note that temples begin closing after 5 PM, including the museum. It is recommended to take the tour before 4 PM to experience the full site.
