Description
The tour starts at Alameda Central Park (corner of Hidalgo Avenue and Dr. Mora Street), where you will meet your guide holding a colorful umbrella. After an introduction, the walk begins at Parque Alameda Central towards the first stop at Hemiciclo a Juárez, where the history of Queer and Mexico comes to life.
Throughout the tour, you will learn about significant queer figures in Mexican history and hear about current queer artists and activists. The route continues along Avenida Francisco I. Madero to Zócalo (Plaza de Constitución), finishing behind the Metropolitan Cathedral near Templo Mayor.
It is recommended to bring a small lunch, wear comfortable walking shoes, use sunscreen, carry water, and bring an umbrella for shade or rain.
