Description
During this experience with your guide, you will start by seeing the Palace of Fine Arts at your meeting point, Mexico's premier cultural venue, an architectural icon in Mexico City that serves as a theater, a museum, and the headquarters of important art institutions, famous for its murals by great Mexican masters and its impressive Tiffany glass curtain. It is a symbol of national culture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can only take photos from the outside. You will then begin your tour a few steps from the metro station, passing through Alabama Park, a traditional public garden popular in Mexico and known for its poplar trees (hence the name) and pathways. Mexico City's Alameda Central is the most iconic of these parks and the oldest public park in the Americas (1592), a historical and cultural oasis featuring fountains and sculptures. For example, the Hemiciclo a Juárez is an iconic cenotaph (empty tomb) located in the Alameda Central. It is a historical monument and a prime example of the Neoclassical style in Mexico.
It was erected in honor of Benito Juárez García, a former Mexican president. Alameda Park is an open-air museum next to the Palace of Fine Arts, where we will begin our wonderful experience using the Mexico City Metro, experiencing the city like a local. Upon arriving at La Raza, you will enter the Túnel de la Ciencia Museum, where you will explore rooms dedicated to space, technology, and great inventions. You will be able to touch, experiment, and learn in a dynamic way while your guide provides clear and entertaining explanations. You will see amazing exhibits, participate in hands-on activities, and have time for photos and questions. This tour is ideal for curious minds of all ages who want to learn, have fun, and discover science in a different and accessible way.
