Description

Learn Mexican home cooking from a host trained at Claustro de Sor Juana who grew up cooking beside her grandmother, this isn't a restaurant demo, it's her kitchen.

Your morning starts at Mercado San Cosme in Colonia San Rafael, one of Mexico City's most authentic neighborhood markets. Together you'll walk the aisles and choose the ingredients you'll cook with, learning what locals actually buy and why.

From there, you'll head to your host's home to get hands-on. You'll press fresh corn tortillas by hand and prepare three salsas that summarize centuries of Mexican gastronomy, one fried, one fresh, and one tatemada (fire-roasted).

Each uses a different technique, so you leave understanding the 'why' behind the flavor, not just the recipe. When the cooking is done, you sit down to eat what you made: quesadillas with your handmade tortillas and salsas, served with agua de Jamaica.

The menu is vegetarian-friendly and can be adapted to any dietary restriction, just let your host know in advance. You'll leave with three recipes you can actually recreate at home, and the kind of sazón that only comes from cooking alongside a Mexican family.

Groups are capped at 10 for a genuinely personal experience.
