Guided by Devany, a talented Cartonería artist who has worked for years preserving and innovating Mexican craft traditions, you’ll learn step-by-step how these festive symbols are built. From structure and layering to decorating with vibrant colors and textures, you’ll create your own mini piñata from scratch, which you’ll proudly take home as a unique handmade souvenir.
As you work, enjoy a relaxed and creative atmosphere with delicious snacks, stories about the origins of Mexican piñatas, and insights into the heritage of cartonería in Mexican celebrations and culture. - No previous artistic experience is required — all materials are provided, and you’ll be guided step by step.
The workshop is taught by Devany, a talented Mexican cartonería artisan.
The activity is suitable for families, friends, couples, or solo travelers.
The workshop takes place in the heart of Coyoacán, Mexico City.
Available from Wednesday to Monday at 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM.
Duration is approximately 2 hours.
