Description

Begin in Cholula with a visit to the Great Pyramid, its archaeological site, and museum. Climb to the top to see the Our Lady of Remedies Church, built atop the pyramid.

Proceed to Santa María Tonantzintla, a church distinguished by its interior decorated with indigenous motifs and Catholic symbols. Learn about the representation of Tlaloc, the rain god, in the sky chapel dome and observe the carved faces representing indigenous people believed to be reincarnated in the sky.

Next, visit San Francisco Acatepec Church, renowned for its remarkable façade and decoration.

Continue to Puebla de los Ángeles, a city with rich cultural heritage framed by Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes. Visit the cathedral, notable for its cross-shaped design with five naves and an octagonal central altar. Observe the four other altars oriented toward the cardinal points and see Mexico’s largest bell towers.
