Description
Depart Mexico City in the morning and take in the rural scenery en route to the colonial city of San Miguel de Allende.
Upon arrival, you will join a 1.5-hour guided tour, during which you will discover some of the city's main attractions, including the Parish Church of San Miguel Arcángel and the Contemporary Art Museum at the Chapel of Jimmy Ray Gallery. You will also have the opportunity to admire the impressive Baroque façade of the San Francisco Church and visit the former home of Ignacio Allende, a key figure in the Mexican War of Independence.
At the local handicrafts market, you'll have the chance to purchase traditional souvenirs and learn more about the history of Mexico as you stand in front of the Municipal Palace, where statues of historical figures such as Miguel Hidalgo and Ignacio Allende are located.
After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the charming town on your own. You can stroll through its picturesque streets, visit art galleries, or enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant or market.
In the afternoon, you will return to Mexico City, with an estimated time of arrival around 9:00 PM.
