Description

Start the day by meeting your driver at the Angel of Independence in Mexico City, where you will begin a comfortable private transfer to Teotihuacan. The first stop will be at a traditional hacienda, where you'll enjoy a unique dining experience inspired by pre-Hispanic cuisine. The tour begins in the orchard and the farm, where you will learn about local ingredients, collect organic eggs, and discover products that are part of Mexican gastronomy. Next, you will take a short horseback ride through the hacienda to the gastronomic museum. There, you'll learn about the importance of corn in Mexican culture and learn ancestral techniques such as nixtamalization, the use of the metate, and the artisanal making of tortillas. Then it will be time to participate. You'll prepare tortillas, gorditas, tetelas, tlacoyos, salsa, and guacamole using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques, always accompanied by our team. At the end of the workshop, you'll enjoy a food tasting of the dishes made during the experience, as well as other specialties prepared by our chefs. You will also learn about the traditional cocoa process, participate in making chocolate on a metate, and taste this ancestral drink. To wrap things up, you'll learn about the history of pulque and can enjoy a small tasting if you like. Then you'll travel to the Archaeological Zone of Teotihuacán, where you'll tour the ancient pre-Hispanic city and have time to discover the history and grandeur of one of the most important archaeological sites in Mexico. If you wish, you can add the services of a certified tour guide to delve into the history and significance of each monument. Once the experience is over, you will begin your return to Mexico City by private transportation, ending the tour at the same meeting point, next to the Angel of Independence.
