Description
The tour begins inside the museum on the second floor, where you will start exploring the three levels of the building. The first floor focuses on Mexico’s trades and traditions, the second on coats of arms, and the third on corridos-poems and the Russian and Mexican revolutions. On each floor, you will examine Rivera’s artistic evolution along with the social context influencing his work.
Next, the tour continues to the building's extension to view the expansive murals by David Siqueiros, alongside several conceptual and contemporary artworks, among the largest murals in Mexico City.
The visit concludes in rooms dedicated to indigenous murals, ceramics, convent art, and reproductions of key works from modern Mexican art.
