Make your own .925 silver ring from scratch in the workshop of designer Carlos Garza, in the heart of the historic center of Mexico City. Unlike tourist workshops that provide pre-prepared wire, here you start with pure .999 silver and make the alloy yourself until you obtain the .925 fineness — the real process of a professional jeweler.
Under the personal guidance of Carlos Garza, you will go through every stage of the manufacturing process: measuring, alloying, rolling, cutting, shaping, soldering, filing, texturing, sanding, and polishing. Each technique is part of the traditional craft of Mexican jewelry, and you will learn it with real tools in a functioning workshop, not in a makeshift space for visitors.
No previous experience is required. You'll receive technical support throughout the process, allowing you to focus on the design and finish of your piece. At the end, you take home a unique .925 silver ring made by your own hands — and the practical knowledge of how a precious metal is transformed into a finished piece of jewelry.
