About the Night of the Radishes
This traditional Oaxacan festival, whose origins date back to 1897, consists of every December 23rd horticulturists and flower growers participating and competing to recreate the best Christmas scene made with radishes. Recently they can also use immortal flower and totomoxtle (corn leaf). The exhibition of these creative performances lasts only a few hours. The Noche de Rábanos is considered one of the most popular fairs in Oaxaca.
